Monk Seal Volunteers at the Marine Mammal Center in Sausalito, CA

Our Oahu monk seal volunteers (Dana, Jen and Rafe) are busy with a full week of training at the Marine Mammal Center in Sausalito, CA. So far it looks like they are having a great time, in spite of having to clean cages and sort smelly fish.

Their training so far has consisted of administering tube feedings and restraining of elephant seal pups. Read more about their experiences at the Monk Seal Mania Blog.

Paradise Cove

Paradise Cove is situated on the leeward coast of Oahu right next to the Ko’olina resort. This beach is not easy to find and is therefore lightly-travelled.
